Sherman C. Toppin is a highly experienced Real Estate Attorney and Real Estate Broker. Mr. Toppin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia and received his Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary School of Law. Mr. Toppin also earned a certificate from MIT Sloan School of Business for an Executive Program relating to Blockchain Technologies and Business Innovations.
Mr. Toppin is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia, and can represent clients in both state and federal courts in these jurisdictions. Mr. Toppin is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in the following states/jurisdictions: District of Columbia, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
In academia, Mr. Toppin is currently a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Temple University Real Estate Institute where he teaches Real Estate Law and other licensure courses for brokers and agents. Mr. Toppin is also a faculty presenter with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, where he has instructed a variety of continuing legal education subjects over the years.
Mr. Toppin has a robust Estate and Probate practice that provides representation to administrators, executors and personal representatives. His law firm handles estate litigation as well as proceedings before state and local county departments involved with decedent’s estates.
Mr. Toppin’s law firm has launched a Virtual and Digital Technology practice group concentrating on transactions that involve blockchain and cryptocurrency. Mr. Toppin developed this practice group to help clients navigate the SEC regulation landscape and shifting technology business dynamics.
In the media, Mr. Toppin has appeared on episodes of HGTV’s show “Bang for your Buck” as a Real Estate Expert, providing property valuation data and marketing expertise.
